What We've Been Up To at Spanish SEO
It’s been a while since our last post and folks have been wondering what we have been up to. Indeed, our blog in English hasn’t been that active lately, mainly because we have been busy undertaking new personal projects and clients. There is just so much we can do the “right way” in 24 hours. We know you can easily relate to and are familiar with that!
We also needed to take some time to refocus and define the best strategy for our blogging efforts. Having a bilingual blog, and writing for two different audiences is a very intense and time consuming task with which we would like to keep up.
If you are an avid reader of Spanish SEO, you probably realized the change of the Spanish Version of this blog. Before, the Spanish version was located at http://es.SpanishSEO.org/. That blog has been moved to http://www.SpanishSEO.es/ to cover Posicionamiento en Buscadores at its fullest. With that in mind, we expect to reach a larger audience of Spanish Speakers worldwide, even though we are using a Country Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD). (I know, you are probably dying to know how’s that going to work, eh!).
We also decided to become more active with blogging in Spanish, mainly because of the misunderstanding of some aspects related to SEO, or the lack of thereof, in the Spanish Speaking population. So, if you are bilingual or want to practice your Spanish, head over Spanish SEO en Español.
Now, let’s talk about other new projects. As many of you may know, Health is one of those issues that affect Latinos and Hispanic people in disproportionate ways. The need to find good information and quality sources is latent, specially under the unrealistic cost of Health Care in the United States and the growing trends in Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol and other diseases that affect Latinos and Hispanics more than other ethnic groups. A good place to start learning how to do that is by visiting The Latino Nutrition Coalition, organization that provides health information, recipes and nutrition tips. You can also download the Camino Magico Shopping Guide and the Latin America Diet Pyramid in pdf versions.

An additional health source is the Web Health Directory, site that focuses on quality websites and information. The main purpose is to provide a quality health guide for people interested in health issues and a healthy living. Information and featured sites are in English and Spanish. So stop by and check it out. And if you have a quality website that deserves to be included, please do not hesitate to submit it.
Another project we are working on and getting close to completion is a new Herbal Guide site. HerbalGuides.com will provide free unique information of plants and herbs from the Amazon and Andes areas in English and Spanish. The research was conducted by professors of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina from Lima, Perú, the largest and most prestigious university in agricultural education. There will be approximately 50 different herbal guides that are extensively used in Alternative Medicine. However, some plants or herbs are only well known in Perú, Ecuador and Brasil. They have more recently been introduced to other parts of the world including the USA and Europe. If you are into Alternative Medicine or Herbalism, this site will be something you cannot pass on.
That’s all for now. There is more to come. Stay tuned!
